Jake April is a motivational speaker and disability advocate with a master’s degree and a passion for helping people challenge assumptions and connect more intentionally. His work focuses on empowering individuals to overcome personal and societal limitations, especially around how we’re perceived at first glance. He's spoken at schools, colleges, camps, and events, and regularly shares insights on platforms like The Unsealed and across social media.
What was your first job?
I was a Communications Intern for the New York Islanders Hockey Club and a writer for Able News.

I was once on my high school track team — despite having a physical disability!
