Meet Our Performers
Ruby Shabazz
Ruby Shabazz is a cornerstone of the New England music scene, widely recognized as New Hampshire’s "Queen of Hip-Hop and R&B". Raised on her parents' Motown vinyl collection, Ruby later studied music at UMass Lowell, developing a signature sound that fuses 90s R&B with contemporary neo-soul.
She made regional history by winning Soul/R&B Artist of the Year at the New England Music Awards for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025) and is currently nominated again for the 2026 title. Winner of the New England Songwriting Competition for her reflective anthem, "Thank You", Ruby is celebrated for her vulnerable, intentional songwriting exploring mental health, self love, and inner peace.
An active community advocate for diversity and inclusion, Ruby takes the TEDx stage on October 21st to share through music how authentic, creative storytelling can bridge the gap between heavy emotional landscapes and profound personal healing.
